Preparation: First of all, make sure that all ingredients are at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 180°C (rotary heat oven: 160°C). Mix the mix, eggs and water with a blender at maximum speed for 7 to 8 minutes, then at minimum speed for an additional 2 to 3 minutes. Fill a buttered pan (half or two thirds full) and bake the cake in the preheated oven. Do not open the oven during cooking! The sponge cake is ready when it is soft to the touch. Turn out the sponge cake as soon as it comes out of the oven and place it on a rack so that the steam can evaporate.
