The stencil can be used with royal icing, powdered colouring, buttercream, icing sugar or your airbrush to create the design of your choice.

Directions for use :

1. Mix your icing (royal icing, buttercream etc). Align the stencil on the sides of the cake (and cut off excess edge if necessary) for alignment or centre it on the top.

2. Holding the stencil in place is the most delicate part. You have several options:
a) an extra pair of hands to hold it for you;
b ) use sewing pins to hold it in place. The stencil should be flush with the surface of the cake so that the icing does not penetrate below the stencil.

3. Start by spreading your glaze from the centre outwards with a spatula.

4. Slowly remove the stencil. If you have "stained" sections, use a toothpick to gently scrape off the excess. Allow to dry and then continue around the cake.
