Since January 1, 2020, by the French decree of April 17, 2019 in the Official Journal No. 0097 ECOC1911549A, food products containing titanium dioxide (also called E171 or TiO2), used to color foodstuffs in white, do not should no longer be consumed. This is French law, not European law.
Titanium dioxide is therefore no longer edible in France but nevertheless remains non-toxic. French law also still authorizes the use of E171 in medicines and cosmetic products (eg toothpaste).
Thus, like any other non-food but non-toxic reference on our site, this product should not be eat and should only be used for decorative purposes.
Finally, note that we are working hard so that the manufacturer can provide us with their products as soon as possible in a version without E171. Thank you for your understanding and support ;-)
Stencil Stripes and Stripes.
Make perfect stripes and stripes on your cakes with this stencil.
The stencil can be used with royal icing, powdered dyes, butter cream, icing sugar or your airbrush to create the design of your choice.
Tip: hold the stencil with this stencil holder, which will serve as your third hand and keep your stencil firmly in place:)!
Tips for use:
1. Mix your icing (royal ice cream, butter cream etc.). Align the stencil on the sides of the cake (and cut off the excess edge if necessary) for alignment or center on its top.
2. Holding the stencil in place is the most delicate part. You have several options: a) an extra pair of hands to hold it for you; b) use dressmaker pins to hold it in place. The stencil must be flush with the surface of the cake so that the icing does not penetrate below the stencil. 3. Start by spreading your icing from the center to the outside with a spatula. 4. Slowly remove the stencil. If you have "stained" sections, use a toothpick to gently scrape off excess. Let it dry and then continue around the cake.
Made of flexible, washable and reusable plastic.Dimensions: 14 cm x 35 cm approximately.
