Spread your dough very thinly or use a special rolling machine.

For the centre of the rose, opt for polystyrene buttons.

Use a silicone veiner to give your petals more realism and let them dry in a flower stand. Once the petals have hardened, complete the finish by lightly tinting them with dry-applied powder dyes.

Then place your sugar flowers on your cakes decorated with sugar dough, pastries or wedding cakes by sticking them with royal icing, or if the flowers contain wires, opt for plastic picks specially designed for sugar flowers.
