Winter and snow lace carpet

Create magical cakes with edible lace, quickly and easily. With this Sugaria silicone mat, you can create a superb winter- and snow-themed edible lace frieze

This mat features elegant, detailed motifs that perfectly capture the beauty of this season, turning your creations into veritable works of edible art.

You can also cut out the lace and use the motifs separately: stick them on your weddings cakes, cupcakes or assorted cookies.

Attach the lace to the sugar-coated cake with a little edible glue or glitter piping gel.

How to use lace:

1. Prepare your lace according to the instructions on the packaging, or use ready-to-use lace. Preheat oven to 70-80°C.

2. Spread your lace preparation on the silicone mat, using the special spatula Cake Lace. Work the mixture in all directions to make sure it covers the pattern well.

3. Remove any excess with the knife.

4. Place the mat in your preheated oven for 8-10 minutes to dry your sugar lace.

5. Remove from the oven and leave to cool for 5 minutes.

6. Check that the lace is ready by lifting the edge of the mat. It should release the lace easily. If this is not the case, the lace is not dry. Return it to the oven for two minutes, and test again.

7. Turn the mat over onto a clean surface and, using the spatula, remove the lace.

8. To attach the lace to the cake, apply a small amount of edible glue to the back of the lace and press gently onto the cake.

We recommend storing unmolded lace in parchment paper and in an airtight box, away from light.

You can also leave your lace to air-dry overnight, instead of baking it in the oven.
